 LVEDC recognizes that young professionals have a different way of looking at the world than their older counterparts. Happily, in the Lehigh Valley they will find a thriving young professional community. The Network of Young Professionals, formed in 2001, provides a social road map for newcomers and locals alike. Young professionals love the Lehigh Valley for the diversity it has to offer from beautiful parks to bustling downtowns, farmers markets to chic shopping districts.

Living in the Lehigh Valley

Although young professionals can be found throughout the Lehigh Valley, they are concentrated it three regions West End Allentown, Southside Bethlehem and Emmaus. These three regions provide affordable housing appropriate for singles, couples, or families. Common characteristics include urban walkable neighborhoods with easy access to shopping and restaurants. Green space coupled with a thriving bicycle culture, round out these vibrant communities.
