Keystone Innovation Zone logo

Keystone Innovation Zones (KIZs) are designated areas created by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania designed to foster entrepreneurs and the growth of new business.

With programming and financial incentives that focus on entrepreneurs and early stage businesses, the Southside Bethlehem KIZ has created a “Knowledge Neighborhood” centered around Lehigh University and Northampton Community College. The Southside Bethlehem KIZ, established in 2004, was the first KIZ created in the commonwealth and has served as a national model for innovation and entrepreneurial development programs throughout the United States.

The easiest business decision you’ll ever make.

Technology and life sciences businesses located within a KIZ have direct access to a wealth of resources including labs and research centers at both Lehigh University and Northampton Community College, private businesses, banks and economic development agencies designed to offer all manner of assistance to budding entrepreneurs. Join the dozens of innovative startup companies already here.
