Select Sales makes your company look good
Select Sales makes your company look good. “We make introductions easy for our clients,” Reichenbach said proudly. “We allow a business to concentrate on what they do best, which is working in their area of expertise.”
Maybe it’s the iPods plugged into people’s ears. Or a languid economy that seems to be huffing and puffing just to get to the top of the hill. But it seems like people have lost a bit of their humanity from years ago.
That’s what Select Sales business model is about: Sailing against the wind toward a new destination, while reading from an old script. They are banking on the fact that things such as personal hand-written notes thanking you for taking the time are a way of building brand identity and being polite.
Owner Joellen Reichenbach was assisted by Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corporation’s Office of Minority and Women-Owned Businesses and in particular the expertise of Director Eduardo Eichenwald. And Select Sales is very active with LVEDC, being not only a generous investor, but Bev Korechko serves on the Investor Relations Committee.
“Eduardo was able to offer us some good advice when I made the transition from a minority owner to majority owner of Select Sales,” she said. “He’s very knowledgeable.”
Promotion with flair In the truest sense Reichenbach understands that you have to sell the sizzle and the steak. Crossing swords with the invisible hand for years and coming away a winner is not as easy as it looks and that’s what makes her work with Select Sales all the more impressive.
“Select Sales makes introductions easy for our clients,” Reichenbach said proudly. “We allow a business to concentrate on what they do best, which is working in their area of expertise.”
Select Sales is in the business of getting the word out about a business by utilizing clever messaging on business brochures and promotional products to businesses large, medium and small and anywhere in between. Based in Bethlehem, Select Sales has two decades experience helping a business stand out from the competition.
“Our success is based on building relationships,” Reichenbach said. “When we sit down with a potential client we listen to their thoughts and then couple them with our ideas to carry out a marketing strategy that gets results.”
While the approach is simple the results are anything but trite. From apparel to bags, pens to coffee mugs and notebooks to refrigerator magnets, Select Sales is the perfect group of professionals to help a business who needs to build or expand sales.
“A lot of what we do could be considered an icebreaker for new calls,” she noted. “Or as a way a company can say “thank you” to their current clients.”
In other cases, Select Sales can assist up-and-coming companies increase their brand by creating excitement around their image.
“It is not unusual for us to use our products to add spark to those boring meetings and special events,” she added.
The adage that everyone has a story to tell could be applicable to businesses as well. In some cases, a business may need to build morale with their own employees. Even in this genre, Select Sales can help.
“Select Sales recognizes that the most important thing a business has is their employees,” she said. “Our ideas, as small as some of them are, can reduce turnover and create productivity. Sometimes they are simply in the form of ‘thank you’ gifts for employees.”
Some of Select Sales’ ideas are downright ingenious. Reichenbach tells a story where a client wanted to get noticed at a golf event. How did Select Sales tackle the assignment?
“Many golfers wear hats in part as a forum of protection from the sun,” she explained. “And they’ll wear suntan lotion on their arms. But a hat almost always leaves one area exposed. The top of their ears. So we marketed suntan lotion to address that and used our client’s logo on that lotion. It left an impression.”
And Reichenbach doesn’t even know the difference between and eagle and a birdie.
