Transportation & Infrastructure

Infrastructure Network

Location and a convenient infrastructure network set the Lehigh Valley apart. We are within one day’s drive to 1/3 of all United States consumers and ½ of all Canadian consumers. The Lehigh Valley is located within 30-90 minutes of three international airports and carries a Foreign Trade Zone status. We have quick access to three major interstates – I-78 (East/West), I-80 (East/West) and the Pennsylvania  Turnpike’s Northeast  Extension (North/South), easy access to the ports of Philadelphia, New Jersey and New York  and light commuter traffic to our downtowns and industrial parks.

Many Fortune 500 companies have established distribution centers and manufacturing facilities in our region. Coca-Cola, Air Products, PPL, B.Braun, Ocean Spray, Samuel Adams, Nestle, Olympus, and Kraft, to name a few, call the Lehigh Valley home, taking advantage of our location and  extensive infrastructure network which has emerged over the past 20 years and  continues to grow.
