Northampton County Executive Lamont McClure will deliver his annual State of the County address, hosted by Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corp. (LVEDC), on Wednesday, April 16, at the Historic Hotel Bethlehem.
There is no charge to attend, but registration is required. Due to space limitations, registration will close when the capacity is met. Registration comes with a complimentary subscription to LVEDC's weekly Lehigh Valley Insider.
McClure is in his second term as Northampton County Executive. He was elected in 2017 and re-elected in 2021. During his address, he will highlight the county’s major accomplishments of the past year and its priorities and objectives for the year ahead.
Northampton County partners with LVEDC, and McClure is a member of LVEDC’s Board of Directors.
He previously served on Northampton County Council from 2006 to 2013. Prior to becoming County Executive, Lamont worked as an attorney representing former steelworkers and other trades who, through no fault to their own, were exposed to asbestos at work and developed mesothelioma, lung cancer, and asbestosis. He majored in History and International Studies with a minor in Eastern European and Russian Studies at Wilkes University and obtained his Juris Doctorate from Duquesne University School of Law.
