This Hot Careers Guide was developed by the Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corporation in collaboration with Lehigh Valley employers to inform students, educators, and community stakeholders about the region’s most in-demand careers.

The guide provides a clear visual representation of career opportunities in the region and serves as a resource for career exploration. The occupations included are among the most common in Lehigh Valley job postings, employ at least 95 people, and/or were suggested for inclusion by local employers.

This is the fourth comprehensive study commissioned by LVEDC in the last decade exploring the Lehigh Valley’s talent supply assets, talent demands of local employers, and talent market gaps. The study gathers vital employer and labor market intelligence, builds a shared understanding of the region’s talent landscape, and serves as a guide for closing workforce gaps and supporting long-term economic growth.

More than 160 companies and organizations supported LVEDC’s strategies to market the Lehigh Valley’s economic assets and promote the region to attract and retain employers and the talent they need to be successful. Our partners contributed almost $955,000 in sponsorship and investment to support LVEDC in 2025.
