When you sit down for Thanksgiving dinner, chances are you’ll be feasting on food made in Lehigh Valley, PA, where food and beverage production is growing.
Among the top 15% of U.S. manufacturing markets, the Lehigh Valley boasts iconic companies that make everything from marshmallow Peeps to Coca-Cola. Here’s a sample of the products made here that may grace your holiday table: 
Let’s Talk Turkey
Jaindl Farms, based in North Whitehall Township, produces more than 840,000 turkeys every year. A Jaindl bird has been served at the White House for nearly 50 consecutive years, selected for that honor by the National Turkey Federation.
Pass the Salad
Last year, Bowery Farming, the largest vertical farming company in the U.S., opened its largest and most technologically advanced and sustainable commercial smart farm in Bethlehem.
The farm provides fresh produce to a population of 50 million people within a 200-mile radius, via a distribution network of national and local retailers, such as Whole Foods Market, Giant, and Gerrity’s.
The Veggies
There were 840 farms in the Lehigh Valley in 2017, the most recent data available from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. More than 1,500 acres on Lehigh County farms were used to grow vegetables, and farms in Northampton County produced about $2.4 million worth of vegetables, melons, potatoes, and sweet potatoes.
Raise a Glass … of Cranberry Juice
Ocean Spray’s 300,000-square-foot bottling plant in Upper Macungie Township produces 42% of the company’s bottled products.
Roll out the Breads
The Bimbo Bakeries plant in Upper Macungie Township produces a variety of bread products sold under brand names such as Entenmann’s Sara Lee, Arnold, and Stroehmann.
Bakerly produces brioche breads, rolls, and buns, and pastries, at its facility, known as the bakerly barn, in Forks Township.
