How Well Do You Know the Lehigh Valley? Test Your Knowledge at LVEDC’s Fall Signature Event, ‘Making Products & Making Places’

What Lehigh Valley company once made slate pencils before launching their iconic crayons? What Lehigh Valley company is the oldest maker of ukuleles? 

The answers are Crayola and C.F. Martin & Co.

If you like quiz games – and know a thing or two about the Lehigh Valley – Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corporation’s Fall Signature Event, “Lehigh Valley: Making Products & Making Places,” at Archer Music Hall in Allentown on Nov. 11 will feature an electronic audience participation quiz game.

The event, featuring a remarkable lineup of industry leaders behind some of America’s most iconic manufacturers, will also include music along with other fun and surprises.

There is no charge to attend the Fall Signature Event, but registration is required. To register, click here. More than 350 people have already registered to attend.

The trivia portion of the evening will be hosted by Grover Silcox, a five-time Emmy award-winning producer at WLVT PBS39. Anyone with a phone and an interest can participate in the 15-minute session.

The centerpiece of the evening will be a panel discussion of company leaders talking about what drew their companies to the Lehigh Valley, what keeps them here, and how they have innovated to make products and places recognized around the world.

J.B. Reilly, President of City Center Group, will deliver special remarks. City Center Group has been a driving force behind the $1 billion revival of downtown Allentown and is the developer of Archer Music Hall.

Archer, the new Live Nation-operated performing arts facility, located in the award-winning Downtown West neighborhood, is among the attractions driving the downtown revival of Pennsylvania’s third-largest city.
