Four new members joined the Board of Directors of Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corp. (LVEDC), and another was recognized for his contributions as his term expired.
“LVEDC’s Board members bring a blend of enthusiasm for the Lehigh Valley and experience gained as leaders in their respective organizations to help the Lehigh Valley continue growing strategically and smartly,” said Board Chair Ed Dougherty, Senior Vice President & Chief Business Development Officer at Lehigh Valley Health Network.
The three newly elected board members are:
Vicki Doulé, Lehigh Valley Executive & Vice President, Distribution Channels at Capital Blue Cross
Doulé leads and expands Capital’s ongoing commitment to the Lehigh Valley and leads Capital’s distribution channel segment with a focus on producer partnerships. She gives back to the community by participating with several Lehigh Valley charities and organizations such as the United Way, Via, ArtsQuest, and the Allentown Commission on Homelessness.
Drew Lewis, Vice President of Diversity and Talent at ADP
Lewis is responsible for leveraging and implementing DEI principles to drive measurable business outcomes. He has global responsibility for the oversight of ADP’s 10 business resource groups which include 15,000+ employee-members. Lewis is passionate about conceiving and developing new ideas and opportunities that enhance value for both organizations and individuals.
Richard Reynolds, President of the Medical Systems Group at Olympus Corporation of the Americas
Since joining Olympus in 1995, Reynolds has acquired extensive knowledge through his expanding leadership positions in the U.S., United Kingdom, Europe, and the Middle East and Africa. At Olympus Corporation of the Americas in Center Valley since 2011, he has held various senior roles, being named President of the Medical Systems Group in 2022. Reynolds is a volunteer board member for Habitat for Humanity.
Two LVEDC Board members were re-elected to a second term - Vice Chair Stephen Hoff, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Crayola, and Ray Midlam, Network Vice President Business Development & Strategy at St. Luke's University Health Network.
The LVEDC Board also welcomed a new member representing Northampton County, Lori Vargo Heffner. She replaces outgoing member Tara Zrinski. Heffner is President of Northampton County Council.
Outgoing LVEDC Board Member Julien Sauvagnargues, President at Olympus Corporation of the Americas, was recognized at LVEDC’s Annual Meeting on March 19, the same day the new elected members joined the Board.
“Julian brought great knowledge, insights, and global perspective to the Board and we appreciate your time and commitment to LVEDC,” Dougherty said at the meeting as he presented Sauvagnargues with a gift for his service.
The LVEDC Board of Directors includes representatives from the region’s private sector, as well as public sector partners. These include the county executive and one member of the legislative body in both Lehigh and Northampton counties, as well as the mayors of Allentown, Bethlehem and Easton.
LVEDC investor board members serve three-year terms with a two-term limit.
