A new symbol of Lehigh Valley pride is coming to Lehigh Valley Mall.

Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corporation (LVEDC) will unveil a 6-foot-by-7-foot “Made in Lehigh Valley” logo sculpture at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, at the mall.

“The sculpture is a public extension of LVEDC’s regional branding campaign that has featured iconic Lehigh Valley manufacturers on billboards and national and international efforts to brand our region as one of America’s leading manufacturing centers and a cool place to work, live, and visit,” said Don Cunningham, President & CEO of LVEDC.

He thanked Lehigh Valley Mall for its partnership in being the first location for the display.

LVEDC envisions the sculpture as the first of several installations across the region, bringing its “Made in Lehigh Valley” branding campaign into public spaces.

Executives from Crayola, Martin Guitar, Freshpet, and Lehigh Valley Mall will participate in the unveiling of the sculpture and share why a strong regional identity matters to businesses and the community. Mascots from the Lehigh Valley IronPigs and Crayola will also join the celebration.

The campaign celebrates the Lehigh Valley’s manufacturing heritage, its standing as America’s No. 1 mid-sized market, and its appeal as one America’s coolest and most authentic markets. A greater awareness of the Lehigh Valley also helps regional employers attract and retain the talent they need to compete.

Created by Inaflash Sign & Design of Emmaus and inspired by Philadelphia’s iconic LOVE sculpture, the installation is designed to be a fun, photo-worthy destination where residents and visitors can show their Lehigh Valley pride.

“It is our hope to extend the Made in Lehigh Valley sculptures to outdoor spaces in iconic spots and downtowns across the Lehigh Valley, much like Cleveland has done with its signature logo,” Cunningham said. “We are in discussions now on how to make that happen.”

The celebration will occur near Dunkin in the center court on the first floor of the mall, located at 250 Lehigh Valley Mall, Whitehall. Use the entrance near the Cheesecake Factory.

The Lehigh Valley is one of America’s fastest growing mid-size markets in both population and economy, a rare region with a population under one million people where manufacturing is the largest part of its $57.3 billion economy.

The Lehigh Valley is one of the Top 15% manufacturing markets in the U.S. based on Gross Domestic Product. More than 700 manufacturers collectively produce an output of $9 billion, representing 16% of Lehigh Valley’s GDP. Nationally, manufacturing is 11% of GDP.

Site Selection Magazine, a leading source of real estate research, ranked Lehigh Valley as the No. 1 mid-sized market for the number of economic development projects in 2025, for the second time in three years.
