Jill Yapsuga has joined Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corporation (LVEDC) in the newly created position of Director of Digital Marketing.

Yapsuga will play a pivotal role in driving LVEDC’s strategic plan by shaping the organization’s voice and brand across all digital platforms, including LVEDC’s website, social media, and advertising and marketing campaigns.

Working in collaboration with LVEDC’s marketing, talent development, and business attraction teams, she will create, manage, and distribute compelling content tailored to LVEDC’s wide-ranging audiences including local investors and stakeholders, talent, and out-of-market site selectors and corporate executives.

Yapsuga has nearly two decades of experience in strategic content development, brand management, and digital media. She previously worked as Director of Marketing and Digital Media at Lehigh Carbon Community College.

She has written scripts for several of LVEDC’s marketing videos, including the Emmy-nominated “Made Possible in Lehigh Valley,” which was produced by FireRock Productions and won two ADDY Awards from the American Advertising Federation/Greater Lehigh Valley Advertising Club.

Yapsuga earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in TV/Film from DeSales University and a Master of Science degree in Interactive Media from Quinnipiac University.

“Jill brings a creative mix of strategic insight and digital expertise that will strengthen how we tell the Lehigh Valley story,” said Nicole Radzievich Mertz, Vice President of Marketing, Communications and Research at LVEDC. “Her award-winning work with LVEDC already speaks for itself, and we’re excited to have her lead our digital presence and connect with audiences in more dynamic, effective ways.”

Yapsuga joins a communications and marketing team that includes Mertz; Frank Alvarado, Director of Research and Data Management; Annie Hollands Lanscek, Marketing Administrator; and Paul Muschick, Director of Communications and Media Relations.

“As a proud Lehigh Valley native, I am honored to join the talented team at LVEDC in telling the story of our vibrant economy and showcasing all that the region offers,” Yapsuga said.
