The Lehigh Valley’s quality of life was highlighted recently in one of the most-read newspapers in England.
The Dec. 6 article in the Daily Mail cited Allentown’s affordability, schools, and attractions such as the Allentown Art Museum, Allentown Farmers Market, Coca-Cola Park, and America on Wheels museum, along with regional amenities such as ArtsQuest at SteelStacks, Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom, Wind Creek Bethlehem, and Lehigh Valley Zoo.
The article highlighted how the region has seen an uptick in new residents relocating from New York City.
“For those who want sports and shows, there's no need to travel to New York,” the Daily Mail said.
“There's the Allentown Arts Walk which connects the Art Museum, Miller Symphony Hall, and the PPL Center, an 8,500-seat indoor sports arena which hosts concerts and events. Coca-Cola Park is home to the IronPigs baseball team.”
This is the second time in recent months that the Lehigh Valley’s quality of life and affordability garnered international headlines.
In August, The New York Times published a lengthy profile of how Allentown is bursting with new housing, offices, and entertainment venues, describing it as “an increasingly attractive alternative to those seeking a more affordable, relaxed lifestyle while still being in driving proximity of New York City and Philadelphia.”
