Lori Vargo Heffner

Lori Vargo Heffner

Lori is in her second term serving as an at-large Northampton County Commissioner, currently Council President, & previously served as President in 2022 and 2021.

She is a member of the General Purpose Authority, & also serving on the Governance, Election Integrity, Personnel Committees, and Retirement Board. She previously chaired Human Services and Finance Committees.

Outside of the County she is a Trustee and Past President of the Northampton County Council of Democratic Women, currently the President of Pennsylvania Federation of Democratic Women, PFDW Representative of National Federation of Democratic Women, & a Board Member of County Commissioners Association of PA where she serves on the Human Services, Courts & Corrections, Comprehensive Behavioral Health Task Force. She is also a PA Democratic State Committee member, and a member of the Women's caucus.

She has over 37 years' experience as a Psychotherapist, Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and Licensed Professional Counselor, currently at St. Luke's University Hospital.
