Several leaders who guide the Lehigh Valley’s economic development strategies have been named as among the most influential people shaping life in the region.
The annual Lehigh Valley Business Power 100 list includes Don Cunningham, President & CEO of Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corp. (LVEDC), and four members of the LVEDC Board of Directors.
“These are the people who shape our communities and influence the quality of life in our region. They are leaders – some quite prominent and well-known, as well as those who are behind-the-scenes changemakers. They operate in all spheres of endeavor: law, finance, education, government, health care, business, and nonprofits,” Ernie Long, Editor of Lehigh Valley Business, said of those on the list.
The Lehigh Valley’s growth into a $50 billion economy has coincided with improvements in key quality of life indicators. Median household income has risen, and the poverty rate has decreased.
Joining Cunningham on the 2024 Lehigh Valley Business Power 100 list are LVEDC Board members:
Gunnar Brunius, Vice President & General Manager, Mack Trucks Lehigh Valley Operations
Rev. James J. Greenfield OSFS, President, DeSales University
T. Anthony Iannelli, President & CEO, Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce
R. Scott Unger, Executive Director, Allentown Economic Development Corp.
The Power 100 list also includes several former LVEDC Board members, and more than two dozen executives and officials from businesses and organizations that support regional economic development by investing in LVEDC.
