Don Cunningham, President & CEO of Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corporation (LVEDC), was named to the inaugural class of “Trailblazers in Economic & Workforce Development” by City & State Pennsylvania.

The accolade comes as the Lehigh Valley’s economy is at new highs in economic output (a Gross Domestic Product of $55.7 billion); employment (more than 340,000 jobs); and median household income (more than $81,000, exceeding the state and nation).

“Pennsylvania has many exceptional leaders who are creating jobs and opportunities and making the Commonwealth such a desirable place to live and do business. It’s an honor to be included among them, which I credit to the economic growth and success of the Lehigh Valley that comes from the region’s leadership working together to make it happen,” said Cunningham, who is in his 13th year of leading LVEDC.

Other Lehigh Valley professionals among the 76 honored are Nancy Dischinat, Executive Director of Workforce Board Lehigh Valley, and Jason Hunt, Manager of Business & Economic Development at PPL Corporation, a Fortune 500 company headquartered in Allentown.

City & State Pennsylvania is a print and digital magazine distributed monthly to a statewide audience of decision makers in business, education, and government.
