State of Northampton County Address Scheduled for Tuesday, June 11

Northampton County Executive Lamont McClure will deliver his annual State of the County Address, hosted by Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corp. (LVEDC), on Tuesday, June 11, at the State Theatre in Easton.

Register to attend the address here. There is no charge to attend. The event is sponsored by Workforce Board Lehigh Valley.

Doors open at 8:30 a.m., with a networking opportunity until 9:15 a.m., when the program will begin. Light refreshments will be served.

McClure is in his second term as Northampton County Executive. He was elected in 2017 and re-elected in 2021. During his address, he will highlight the county’s major accomplishments of the past year and its priorities and objectives for the year ahead.

Northampton County partners with LVEDC, and McClure is a member of LVEDC’s Board of Directors.

He previously served on Northampton County Council from 2006 to 2013. Prior to becoming County Executive, Lamont worked as an attorney, representing former steelworkers and other trades who, through no fault to their own, were exposed to asbestos at work and developed mesothelioma, lung cancer, and asbestosis. He majored in History and International Studies with a minor in Eastern European and Russian Studies at Wilkes University and obtained his Juris Doctorate from Duquesne University School of Law.
