The latest edition of the Lehigh Valley Talent Newsletter has been published, highlighting an initiative that is enhancing career exploration by middle school students.

The newsletter shares an article about how Pennsylvania recently was ranked as the top state for preparing middle school students for careers, and how a LVEDC is supporting a multi-state program to learn about and advocate for best practices.

Also in the newsletter is a summary of Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corporation’s new strategic plan. One of the priorities of the plan, for 2025-2027, is to strengthen regional coalitions to build the talent and visibility the region needs to compete in tomorrow’s economy.

Other articles in the newsletter explore how Lehigh Valley manufacturing jobs grew at three times the national rate and showcase LVEDC’s recent Fall Signature Event, “Lehigh Valley: Making Products & Making Places.”

video shares takeaways from the 7th Annual Lehigh Valley Internship Summit. Held in July, the summit brought together educators and employers to share information about how to create and grow internship programs.

The Lehigh Valley Talent Newsletter is published quarterly by LVEDC to keep the Lehigh Valley community informed about talent-related news, local data and information, career paths, and national trends.

The Talent Newsletter is just one of the many initiatives driven by LVEDC’s Education and Talent Supply Council, a regional coalition formed in 2015. The council brings together leaders from business, education, and community organizations to identify talent market gaps and implement strategies that strengthen the talent pipeline in the Lehigh Valley.
