Lehigh Valley has developed model strategies in a region-wide effort to prepare, attract, and retain talent. Communicating the innovative and impactful work done here merits a platform where it can be shared and celebrated.
Recognizing that, Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corp. (LVEDC) has created a new e-newsletter to share information about this important topic. The first edition was distributed in May, you can read it here. It will be published quarterly. Sign up here.
The goal of the newsletter is to keep the Lehigh Valley community informed about talent-related news, local data and information, career paths of people in the Lehigh Valley, and national trends.
“We know that for employers to be successful, they need the right people with the right skills. Working on regional talent strategies with our partners has been core to our work for the past eight years at LVEDC. We recognize that there are so many impactful talent-related initiatives and new stories happening here across our coalition that are worth sharing. This newsletter highlights these inspiring stories,” said Karianne Gelinas, Vice President of Regional Partnerships & Talent Strategies at LVEDC.
The talent newsletter is just one of the many initiatives of LVEDC’s Education and Talent Supply Council, a regional coalition formed in 2015. The council brings together leaders from business, education, and community organizations to identify talent market gaps and implement strategies that strengthen the talent pipeline in the Lehigh Valley.
LVEDC’s other e-newsletters include:
A weekly e-newsletter about the Lehigh Valley business community, economic development, and significant events taking place in the region (sign up here).
A monthly LVstartup newsletter that shares information about entrepreneurs and startups (sign up here).
